Spring weddings have always made me nervous. Spring in the Maritimes can be unpredictable weather-wise and that’s a photographer’s worst fear for wedding days. However, Sarah and Mike’s Spring wedding has changed my mind!
THE PROPOSAL
Sarah and Mike love to go hiking, in fact it was one of their first dates. Since hiking plays such a big part in their relationship, Mike thought it would be fitting to include it in his proposal. He arranged for them to go on a hike and when they reached the top, he asked Sarah if she would be his wife. She, of course, said YES YES YES!
THE WEDDING DAY
Their wedding day was as perfect as a day could be. Gorgeous blue skies, a slight breeze and SUN SUN SUN! Have I mentioned the fact that the lilacs and the apple trees were in full bloom? All in all, MAGIC. Sarah wore a beautiful crown sleeve beaded gown and Mike was in a full suit. Both looked absolutely amazing.
The decor theme for this Spring wedding was rustic charm. Both Sarah and Mike’s families provided so many personal touches for their day, it was a beautiful sight to see. The church was simply decorated with floral details and the reception had everything from handmade signs, floral arrangements and even a blanket station for the cool Spring air. All in all, a personal and intimate wedding day done to perfection.
Thank you Sarah and Mike for letting me be a part of your wedding day. Cheers to many years of wedded bliss for you both!
xoxo Nicole
