Sheelah & Justin| Rustic Wedding

Sheelah and Justin’s rustic wedding day was a bit of a rollercoaster. The day began with beautiful blue skies as they got ready in their cabins. Shortly afterwards, a surprise downpour hit their rustic location at Four Nature Resort. This then turned into an epic sunset!

Sheelah and Justin are all about family. They decided they wanted all wedding events to be held at one location. Somewhere all their family could stay together for a few days, not just the wedding day. Four Nature Resort fit the bill. They booked the entire resort, each family had their own rustic cabin and everything from getting ready to reception was held at this location.

For the first look, the couple chose a beautiful bridge on the property, nestled in the forest. It was both private and beautiful. When Sheelah said Justin’s name and he turned around, time stopped. The smile on Justin’s face said it all. These two are so perfect together and the love they have for each other is all over their faces.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held outdoors after the rainstorm had mostly passed. Family and friends gathered in the courtyard area of the resort and watched as Sheelah and Justin became husband and wife. The couple said their vows under a beautiful rustic geometric arbor. They laughed, cried and smiled at each other the entire time. Family members came up and did various readings about their love. It was a lovely ceremony.

The Reception

The reception was held in the main lodge of the resort. It was beautifully decorated with greenery, white florals and twinkle lights. It created a cozy and intimate atmosphere. As I said, this wedding was a family affair. Sheelah’s family is incredibly musical, so there were group songs written for the couple, the bride serenaded the groom and the bride’s twin sang a song she wrote for Sheelah. Barney the dinosaur even made an appearance when Justin’s parents gave their speech! It was such a personal event, I’m so happy to have been a part of it. Since the weather had cleared up and it was beautiful outside, the bride and groom decided to have their dance outside. As the stars and moon started to appear they had their first dance and soon all the family joined in.

I’ve had the joy of photographing 3 weddings in Sheelah’s family so far, with a fourth coming soon. Every time I get to witness these events in her family I’m reminded how amazing this family is. they’re all so close, so supportive and loving. It makes my heart so happy to keep seeing them all!

Thank you, Sheelah and Justin for asking me to be a part of your day. It was wonderful to see all the familiar faces. It was an honour and a pleasure. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

XOXO
