There’s nothing I love more than a perfect Fall day! The sun was shining, the fields looked like gold and the trees were gloriously colorful, a perfect time for a Fall engagement session. Fall engagement sessions always seem to have that magical light that I crave! I find engagement sessions so important because it gives me a chance to really get to know my couples. How they interact with one another, how they interact with me… it really answers so many questions that I have before a wedding day!
I hadn’t met Shannon and Greg before their engagement pictures. Much to my delight, they are a couple very much in love. The entire session was filled with giggles, smiles and loving looks between the two of them. Honestly, a photographers dream!
When I asked them how they first met, they both laughed quietly. You see, Shannon and Greg’s meeting was pure luck. They met by chance through mutual friends when they were both invited to the same party in Nova Scotia. Soon after that lucky encounter, they were dating. They just clicked, and they are certainly a perfect fit.
Shannon and Greg both love hockey, and even though they support opposing teams (Leafs vs. Canadians) they enjoy watching it together and relentlessly teasing each other when their team loses. They also love going to their local drive-in theatre to watch movies together. They go so often that it became their go-to spot. So when the time came, Greg knew that it would be the perfect place to propose. While on a date at the drive in, Greg asked, and Shannon said yes!
This engagement session was so much fun thanks to their fun and cuddly relationship with each other, I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding day to come! I just know it’s going to be amazing!
