Have you ever been to a whimsical wedding before? I hadn’t until Emily and Dylan’s whimsical wedding day! I loved it so much. This was my fist wedding that embraced color, and I need MORE! Between the bride’s pink hair and her blue gown, the glowing greens of the park and the navy bridesmaid dresses… color was everywhere!
The joy of color was not the only thing that made this a whimsical wedding. The ceremony location looked like it was straight out of a fairytale woodland and the reception was on a boat! Truly the most unique and intimate wedding I’ve had in years.
The bride and bridesmaids got ready at The Rodd Miramichi. Emily had a true Kardashian moment when she had her glam squad taking care of her hair, makeup and food needs all at once! They popped some champagne (after MUCH effort) and enjoyed some mimosas before getting into their gowns. The excitement in the room was palpable as Emily waited to have her first look with Dylan.
The First Look
Dylan was a bundle of nerves. He stood looking out at the water, waiting for Emily to tap him on the shoulder. He knew he would feel 100% better once he saw her. To say these two were made for each other, is an understatement. They are like two pieces of a puzzle. I’ve never met a couple with more in common, myself and my husband included!
Finally, the moment he was waiting for arrived. Emily told him to turn around, and Dylan’s jaw literally dropped. Everyone should have a partner that looks at them they was Dylan looked at Emily in that moment. The smiles, the giggles and the hugs were everything. It was everything a first look should be.
The Ceremony
The wedding ceremony was held in a park known as The Hollow, in Miramichi. The trees are huge and they naturally sweep over the trail creating the most beautiful arches with their branches. It truly looks like a place drawn by Disney artists. It a beautiful place, and it was a first for me to attend a wedding there. I’ll definitely be recommending it to clients in the future.
The ceremony was intimate and simple. They said vows that they wrote for each other and cried as they slipped their wedding bands on each others hands. Family and friends cheered as they kissed and were announced as husband and wife.
Afterwards, the couple and their guests jumped onto a boat and toured the Miramichi river. The tour brought us back to Ritchie’s Wharf, the location where Emily and Dylan did their engagement photos. We knew the perfect way to end the evening was to recreate their ice cream date photos from their engagement session. It was a sweet ending to and even sweeter day!
Thank you both so much for allowing me to be a part of your love story. I’ve enjoyed every moment with you two and wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
xoxo

One of the most beautiful , engaging and fun weddings I have been to in years! Such a beautiful day; peaceful, soft and sweet, yet joyful and magical! LOVE is in the air kind of day! Emily and Dylan, I have watched you both grow up to be smart, independent, focused and determined and at the same time you have both kept your quirkiness, spunk and joie de vivre! What amazes me of you both is that you both have the exceptional gift of being true to yourselves and at the same time true to each other! That is remarkable at such a young age! Keep entertaining each other, keep supporting each other and as for loving each other , you guys have that one mastered already! Love you both, forever and always, Matante Charlene ! ❤️ xoxo
