Backyard Wedding | Sonya & Chris

The weather on Sonya & Chris’s backyard wedding day was temperamental to say the least. It would be sunshine one moment and a downpour the next. Not ideal for a backyard wedding, but Sonya and Chris never wavered. they were happy and excited, they went with whatever came. At one point, it didn’t look like having the ceremony in their backyard would be possible. Just as they were about to make the decision to move indoors, the sun came out and stayed out until their ceremony was finished. It was wonderful! Someone was surely looking out for them on their big day. Sonya and Chris were even blessed with a beautiful double rainbow at the end of the day.

The Wedding

Once the sun came out everyone banded together to clean up the rani water and tidy the ceremony area. It was so nice to see their friends and family jump to help out. It is a testament to the kind of people Sonya and Chris are. The groomsmen made their way down the aisle and Chris walked his mother to her seat. He stood up front, waiting to see his bride walk towards him. The excitement on his face was clear and I’ve never seen him smile so big. Sonya rounded the corner of the house and walked down the aisle with her daughters and her father as escorts. This was truly a family affair. Sonya and Chris laughed and giggled throughout the ceremony, they were so excited to say those last two words, I DO! Sealing it with an EPIC dip and kiss, they were deemed husband and wife.

Thank you Sonya and Chris for asking me to be a part of your wedding day. It was a pleasure getting to know you both and your little family. Wishing you both many years of love and happiness.

xoxo Nicole
